With the rise of high-density storage systems, more and more people are using high-density storage systems to improve the space utilization rate of warehouses. In intensive warehousing, storage racks are one of the main components. Let us get to know 4 common high-density storage racks.

1. Drive-in racks

Pallets are stored in depth along the rack direction, one connected to another, with no gaps in between. Usually first-in-first-out or first-in-last-out is adopted, and forklifts need to enter the drive-in rack channel to operate.

2. Gravity racks

Gravity racks are a type of pallet rack storage. Pallets use their own gravity to slide arbitrarily on the inclined roller. Gravity racks usually use forklifts and manual picking to store goods.

3. Radio shuttle racks

Radio shuttle racks are installed with shuttle tracks in the depth direction of the storage rack. When storing, the goods need to be placed at the front end, and the shuttle on the guide rail will drive the pallet to run automatically. To take out the goods, the shuttle needs to place the pallet at the front end of the storage rack, and the forklift needs to take the goods off the pallet rack.

4. Automated three-dimensional warehouse

The three-dimensional warehouse uses automated storage equipment and computers to achieve high-level storage and retrieval in a three-dimensional warehouse. There is space in the racks that can be used as a storage location. When operating, the stacker needs to shuttle between the racks and then deliver the goods to the designated location for storage and retrieval.
